A warm, cheesy casserole featuring spaghetti, ground beef, and creamy ricotta, perfect for family dinners.

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 12 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for your bubbling casserole.
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic over medium heat until fully cooked. Stir in the marinara sauce.
  4. Mix the ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper in a bowl.
  5. Layer half of the cooked spaghetti in a baking dish, followed by the meat sauce, then spoon on the ricotta mixture, and top with the remaining spaghetti.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Bake covered with foil for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

This casserole pairs well with a green salad and garlic bread. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
