A delightful Bundt cake infused with rich brown sugar and sweet maple syrup, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups dark brown sugar, packed
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup (for glaze)
  • 1–2 teaspoons milk, as needed (for glaze)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or whole pecans (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a Bundt pan.
  2. Cream the butter and dark brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the maple syrup and vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet in three parts, alternating with the sour cream.
  6. Transfer the batter to the Bundt pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. Whisk together the powdered sugar and maple syrup for the glaze.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake and add pecans if desired.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
