Ingredients
Scale
4 pounds beef short ribs
1 cup bourbon
1 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Combine bourbon, maple syrup, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, ground black pepper, salt, and crushed red pepper in a mixing bowl and mix well.
Season the beef short ribs generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
Heat a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat and sear the short ribs until browned on all sides.
Remove the short ribs, and pour the sauce mixture into the pot, scraping up any browned bits.
Return the short ribs to the pot and coat them with the glaze. Cover with a lid.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 4 hours until the meat is fork-tender.
Let the ribs rest for about 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Pair these ribs with mashed potatoes or a fresh salad. Let them rest after baking for better tenderness.
