A light and refreshing sorbet made with ripe mangoes, perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Create the Sweet Syrup: In a pot, combine the sugar and water over medium heat. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Cool the Syrup: Remove the pot from heat and allow the syrup to cool completely.
  3. Puree the Mangoes: While the syrup is cooling, toss the diced mangoes into a blender and puree until smooth.
  4. Mix It All Together: Once the syrup has cooled, mix the mango puree with the sweet syrup and the refreshing lemon juice.
  5. Freeze Your Mixture: Pour the combination into a shallow dish and pop it in the freezer for about 2 hours.
  6. Stir It Up: Every 30 minutes, stir the mixture to break up any ice crystals that form.
  7. Serve in Scoops: Once fully frozen, scoop the mango sorbet into bowls and enjoy.

Notes

Choose fully ripe mangoes for the best flavor. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
