A nostalgic recipe for chewy, fudgy brownies that bring back sweet childhood memories.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a large bowl and stir in the sugar until glossy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before slicing into squares.
