A simple and elegant dish featuring flaky cod fillets baked in a bright lemon butter sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Stir in the fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Place the cod fillets in a baking dish.
  5. Pour the lemon butter sauce generously over the cod fillets.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Pairs well with a side salad, roasted vegetables, or jasmine rice.
