  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • ¾ cup key lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Lime slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a pie dish to form the crust.
  4. Bake the crust for about 10 minutes, then remove it from the oven and let it cool.
  5. Whisk together egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and lime zest until smooth.
  6. Pour the lime filling into the cooled crust, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake for another 15 minutes, then let it cool to room temperature.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
  9. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  10. Spread the whipped cream over the pie and garnish with lime slices before serving.
