A vibrant and tangy Key Lime Pie with a buttery graham cracker crust, capturing the essence of summer in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup key lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • Whipped cream (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the perfect crust.
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl. Mix them well until you have a sandy texture. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pie plate to form a firm crust.
  3. Whisk together the egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and lime zest in another bowl until smooth.
  4. Pour the creamy filling into the prepared crust, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
  5. Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes or until set.
  6. Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.
  7. Refrigerate the pie for at least 3 hours. When you’re ready to serve, slice it into wedges and top each piece with whipped cream.
