Bright and tangy Key Lime Bars with a crumbly graham cracker crust and luscious filling, ideal for summer gatherings.

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup key lime juice
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press into a greased 9×9-inch baking dish.
  3. Whisk together sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, egg yolks, and lime zest until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture over the crust in the baking dish.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the bars are set.
  6. Let cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  7. Cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh key lime juice. Store in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for later use.
