  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch pan to prevent sticking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and oil until well combined.
  3. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk.
  6. Gently fold in the chopped walnuts.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan before serving.

Notes
