Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan to prepare for the cake batter.
  2. Cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each one is fully incorporated.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
  6. Pour the luscious batter into the prepared bundt pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a serving plate.
  9. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and lemon juice, then drizzle it generously over the warm cake.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients and ensure your bundt pan is well-greased.
