This Hawaiian dish features tender chicken thighs marinated in a sweet and savory glaze, grilled to perfection for a burst of tropical flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Create the Flavorful Marinade: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  2. Marinade the Chicken: Place chicken thighs in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over. Seal and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  3. Get the Grill Ready: Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Prepare for Grilling: Remove chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  5. Grill to Perfection: Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

For maximum flavor, consider marinating for longer if time permits! These chicken thighs can also be baked at 375°F for about 25-30 minutes if grilling isn’t an option.
