Recreate the magic of hibachi cooking at home with this delicious steak and shrimp recipe, complete with vibrant flavors and satisfying textures.

  • 1 lb sirloin steak
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat a hibachi grill or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the steak generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side until it reaches desired doneness.
  4. Rest the steak for a few minutes to retain juiciness.
  5. Cook the shrimp in the same grill for about 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque.
  6. Add garlic and ginger to the shrimp, stirring until fragrant.
  7. Slice the rested steak and serve alongside the shrimp with soy sauce and lemon wedges.

Notes

Allow your steak to come to room temperature before cooking for even cooking. Don’t overcrowd the grill for best results.
