A delightful grilled teriyaki chicken dish infused with a sweet and savory marinade, perfect for summer barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and rice vinegar to make the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag tightly, ensuring all chicken is coated. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor infusion.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, ensuring it’s hot and ready for the chicken.
  4. Remove the chicken from the bag and discard the marinade.
  5. Grill the chicken on the grill for 6-7 minutes on each side until the juices run clear.
  6. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
  7. Slice the grilled chicken and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the chicken for up to 4 hours. Pair with jasmine rice or stir-fried vegetables.
