  • 1 lb ground beef or lamb
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, onion, minced garlic, egg, parsley, mint, salt, black pepper, and cumin in a mixing bowl.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs about the size of a golf ball.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are browned and cooked through.
  6. Make the tzatziki by combining Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  7. Serve warm meatballs with tzatziki on the side.
