Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground lamb
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine the ingredients in a large bowl: ground lamb, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and egg.
  2. Form the meatballs by taking small portions of the mixture and rolling them into 1-inch balls.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  4. Fry the meatballs in batches, ensuring they aren’t overcrowded, for about 10-12 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  5. Serve hot with tzatziki sauce and warm pita bread.

Notes

Fresh ingredients yield the best flavor. Consider using gluten-free breadcrumbs and swapping ground lamb for beef, turkey, or chicken if desired.
