A colorful celebration cake, perfect for birthdays and special occasions, featuring rainbow sprinkles for a whimsical touch.

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Mix in the flour mixture, alternating with milk, starting and ending with flour.
  6. Fold in the rainbow sprinkles gently.
  7. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve with vanilla buttercream or powdered sugar. Pairs well with vanilla ice cream or fresh fruit salad.
