A delightful and creamy flan topped with a rich caramel layer, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Caramelize the sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until it turns golden brown.
  3. Blend the eggs, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the caramel in the baking dish.
  5. Place the baking dish into a larger pan filled with hot water.
  6. Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until set.
  7. Cool the flan at room temperature and then refrigerate for a few hours.
  8. Invert the flan onto a plate to serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The flan gets creamier over time.
