A delightful, egg-free edible cookie dough recipe that brings the nostalgic taste of traditional cookies without the need to bake.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 24 tablespoons milk (optional, for consistency)

Instructions

  1. Heat treat the flour by microwaving it for 1-2 minutes or baking it at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add vanilla extract and salt, blending well to incorporate.
  4. Incorporate the heat-treated flour gradually until fully mixed in.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
  6. Adjust the consistency by adding milk one tablespoon at a time if the dough is too crumbly.
  7. Enjoy the cookie dough raw immediately, or chill for a firmer texture.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months. Customize with different mix-ins as desired.
