Dirt Cake is a whimsical dessert that layers crushed chocolate cookies, creamy pudding, and whipped topping, perfect for family gatherings and celebrations.

  • 1 package chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 12 oz whipped topping
  • Gummy worms (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Crush the cookies by placing them in a zip-top bag and smash until finely ground. Set the crumbs aside.
  2. Mix the softened butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Prepare the instant chocolate pudding by whisking milk and pudding mix until thickened.
  4. Combine the pudding mixture into the cream cheese blend gently.
  5. Fold the whipped topping into the creamy mixture until well combined.
  6. Layer the cookie crumbs at the bottom of a large serving dish.
  7. Spread a layer of the pudding mixture over the cookie crumbs and repeat the layering process.
  8. Add gummy worms on top for decoration.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set the dessert.

Dirt Cake is best enjoyed fresh; store leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
