  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup bourbon (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the sugar and softened butter until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in the vanilla extract and bourbon if using.
  4. Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips into the egg mixture.
  5. Pour the filling into your unbaked pie crust, distributing it evenly.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
  7. Let the pie cool before serving to allow the filling to set.
