A comforting Chocolate Mud Pie with a rich, velvety filling and a crunchy crust, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fudge sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a pie pan, forming a sturdy crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
  2. Melt the chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat, stirring gently. Once melted, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. Whip the heavy cream in a separate mixing bowl until soft peaks form. Gradually sprinkle in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
  4. Fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream gently to maintain the airy texture.
  5. Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled crust, smoothing it out evenly.
  6. Refrigerate the Chocolate Mud Pie for at least 2 hours to set. Drizzle with warm fudge sauce before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, add a tablespoon of sugar to the crust mixture. Chill the cream and mixing bowl for better whipping results.
