A rich and smooth dark chocolate tart with a crunchy crust, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups crushed Oreos or graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the crushed Oreos or graham crackers with the melted butter.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and sides of a tart pan.
  4. Bake the crust for about 10 minutes until firm and fragrant.
  5. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until gentle simmer.
  6. Pour the cream over the chopped dark chocolate and let it sit for about a minute.
  7. Whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl.
  8. Gradually add the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring until well combined.
  9. Carefully pour the chocolate filling into the cooled crust.
  10. Bake the tart for 20-25 minutes until the filling is set with a slight wobble.
  11. Cool the tart in the pan before transferring it to the fridge to chill for at least 2 hours.

Notes

Serve chilled with whipped cream or fresh berries. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to four days.
