Delicious muffins that combine the flaky texture of croissants with the convenience of muffins, filled with chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Combine the milk and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  8. Let the muffins cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve warm with butter or honey, and enjoy with coffee or milk.
