  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wide egg noodles or rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once it’s bubbly, add the chopped onions and minced garlic, sautéing them until they’re translucent and fragrant.
  2. Add the beef strips to the skillet, cooking them until beautifully browned.
  3. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and allow them to cook until softened.
  4. Sprinkle the flour evenly over the mixture and stir well to combine everything.
  5. Add the beef broth gradually, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens.
  6. Remove the skillet from heat, and stir in the sour cream.
  7. Give it a taste, then season generously with salt and pepper according to your preference.
