Deliciously chewy bars that combine cookie dough, chocolate, and marshmallows for a campfire treat without the need for a fire.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring even distribution.
  7. Spread half of the cookie dough into the prepared baking dish.
  8. Sprinkle the mini marshmallows over the first layer of cookie dough.
  9. Spoon the remaining cookie dough on top, spreading evenly.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  11. Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

For an extra treat, serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or chocolate sauce.
