A nostalgic creamy cheesecake featuring an Oreo cookie crust, perfect for celebrations and gatherings.

  • 1 1/2 cups Oreo cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies for topping
  • Whipped cream for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Combine Oreo cookie crumbs and melted butter in a bowl. Press into the bottom of a springform pan.
  3. Beat together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add sour cream and mix until well combined.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed until just blended.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
  7. Bake for about 50-60 minutes until the edges are set and center is slightly wobbly.
  8. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Sprinkle crushed Oreo cookies on top and garnish with whipped cream before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider adding a chocolate drizzle or a hint of peppermint extract for a mint variation.
