A rich and creamy classic New York cheesecake with a graham cracker crust, perfect for celebrations or simple indulgence.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter until combined. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan, and bake for 10 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 1 cup sugar and mix well.
  4. Add vanilla extract and beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Mix in sour cream and flour until smooth.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the graham cracker crust.
  7. Bake for about 1 hour, or until the center is set and the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour.
  9. Remove from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before serving.

Notes

Serve with fresh fruit topping, chocolate or caramel drizzle, or whipped cream. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
