  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl, then blend into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space for them to spread.
  7. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until the edges are browned.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

For best results, use room temperature ingredients and avoid overmixing. Chilling the dough can enhance flavors and prevent spreading.
