Deliciously chewy blondies bridging the gap between cookies and brownies, rich with buttery goodness and brown sugar.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. Combine the melted butter and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Stir in the eggs, one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
