Delightful cinnamon rolls with a creamy glaze, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 tbsp milk (to thin glaze)

Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Mix wet ingredients in a separate bowl until well combined.
  3. Add wet ingredients to the dry mixture to form a soft dough.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  7. Spread melted butter over the dough and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  8. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into slices.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Prepare the glaze by beating together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
  11. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls before serving.

Notes

Ensure milk is warm, not hot, to prevent killing the yeast. Adjust sweetness as desired.
