Delightful cookies that combine the rich essence of cinnamon rolls with the ease of a chewy sugar cookie.

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, mixing gently.
  6. Sprinkle in the ground cinnamon and fold into the dough.
  7. Place spoonfuls of dough on ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Prepare the frosting by whisking together powdered sugar and milk.
  10. Drizzle the frosting over cooled cookies.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They can be frozen for up to three months.
