Delightful Cinnamon Roll Macarons blend the classic flavors of cinnamon rolls with the airy texture of French macarons.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Sift together the almond flour and powdered sugar.
  3. Whip the egg whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  4. Gradually add granulated sugar to the egg whites while continuing to beat.
  5. Combine the sifted dry ingredients into the egg whites gently.
  6. Pipe small circles of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Rest the piped macarons for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the feet have formed.
  9. Cool completely on the baking sheet before removing.
  10. Make the frosting by beating the softened butter, powdered sugar, and milk until creamy.
  11. Assemble the macarons by filling them with frosting and sandwiching them together.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature egg whites and practice piping for even circles.
