A delightful Chocolate Pistachio Kataifi Cake featuring crispy kataifi layers and a rich chocolate filling, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 200 g kataifi pastry
  • 100 g unsalted butter, melted
  • 200 g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 100 g pistachios, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Loosen the kataifi pastry strands.
  2. Combine melted butter with kataifi pastry, tossing until coated.
  3. Spread half of the buttered kataifi mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. Heat heavy cream until just boiling, then add chopped dark chocolate and stir until smooth.
  5. Fold in the chopped pistachios into the chocolate filling.
  6. Pour the chocolate-pistachio filling over the kataifi base.
  7. Add the remaining kataifi pastry on top, pressing down gently.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  10. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For added flair, garnish with chopped pistachios or a drizzle of chocolate sauce. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
