Decadent chocolate fudge cups with a rich, fudgy center and crunchy edges, perfect for gatherings or a quiet afternoon treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Press the mixture into the muffin tin to form cups.
  7. Mix together chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk for the fudge filling.
  8. Fill each cup with the fudge mixture.
  9. Bake for 15-18 minutes until edges are crispy.
  10. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then carefully remove from the tin.

Notes

Serve with vanilla bean ice cream or whipped cream. Can add a sprinkle of sea salt for contrast.
