Delightful, chewy chocolate chip cookies with a crispy edge and gooey chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to a cozy 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl, then gradually stir into the wet mixture until just blended.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

Store baked cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For extra softness, add a slice of bread to the container.
