A comforting pasta dish merging the richness of Marsala wine with tender chicken and earthy mushrooms, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)
  • 2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup Marsala wine
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the chicken in olive oil, seasoning with salt and pepper, for about 6-8 minutes until cooked through, then set aside.
  3. Sauté the mushrooms and garlic in the same skillet for 4-5 minutes until tender.
  4. Incorporate the Marsala wine, bringing it to a simmer and scraping browned bits, reducing for about 5 minutes.
  5. Mix in the heavy cream and return the chicken to the skillet, simmering for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Combine the pasta in the skillet, tossing until well coated with the sauce, and serve hot garnished with parsley.
