A comforting and delicious Chicken Chow Mein with succulent chicken, vibrant vegetables, and yummy noodles in a savory sauce.

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, sliced thinly
  • 8 ounces chow mein noodles, cooked according to package instructions
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced

Instructions

  1. Heat the skillet: In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the chicken: Add the sliced chicken to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  3. Sauté the vegetables: In the same skillet, add bean sprouts, shredded carrots, bell peppers, and broccoli and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Whisk the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  5. Combine it all: Add the cooked noodles and sautéed chicken back to the skillet and pour the sauce over the top.
  6. Toss and heat: Gently toss everything together, cooking for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  7. Serve hot: Serve your Chicken Chow Mein with optional green onion garnish.
