A delightful combination of sweet apples, warm spices, and a hint of lemon juice, perfect for any occasion.

  • 4 large apples, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Slice your apples into thin wedges.
  2. Mix the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and optional nutmeg in a large bowl.
  3. Coat the apple slices with the sugar and spice mix, then drizzle with melted butter and lemon juice.
  4. Combine the flour and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Layer the apple mixture in a greased baking dish and sprinkle the flour mixture over the top.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes, until apples are tender and top is golden brown.
  7. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
