Delicious and soft chocolate chip cookie bars that are easy to make and perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix the flour and baking soda in a small bowl; set aside.
  3. Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Combine the flour mixture gradually until just mixed, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Cool before cutting into bars and serving.
