A simple and delightful Cherry Dump Cake that combines warm cherries and buttery cake with ease.

Ingredients

  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup butter (1/2 lb)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the cherry pie filling into a greased baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the cherry filling.
  4. Add sliced butter on top of the cake mix.
  5. Optional: sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
  6. Bake for 40-50 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
