Delicious cheese stuffed shells filled with a creamy mixture and baked with marinara sauce, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and let cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta, 1/2 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy.
  4. Gently stuff each shell with the cheese mixture.
  5. Spread half of the marinara sauce in a baking dish. Place stuffed shells on top and cover with remaining sauce.
  6. Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella on top.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For a creamier sauce, add a splash of cream to the marinara before layering. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
