A delightful twist on classic brownies, merging rich, fudgy chocolate with creamy cheesecake swirls.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  5. Mix the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture on top of the brownie batter.
  8. Layer with the remaining brownie batter, spreading gently to cover the cream cheese.
  9. Using a knife, swirl the cream cheese into the brownie batter.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  11. Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

For rich flavor, consider using dark cocoa powder. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
