A luscious caramel layer cake perfect for celebrations, combining rich buttery cake with salted caramel sauce.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the all-purpose flour and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  5. Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk to the creamed butter mixture until just combined.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared cake pans.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
  9. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and salt until stiff peaks form for frosting.
  10. Assemble the cake by layering cake layers with salted caramel sauce and frosting.
  11. Frost the top and sides of the cake with remaining frosting and drizzle more salted caramel sauce over the top.
  12. Slice and serve, enjoying every bite!

Notes

Store leftover cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, or freeze individual slices for up to 3 months.
