Deliciously light and crispy waffles filled with creamy caramel, perfect for a brunch treat.

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • Whipped cream (optional, for serving)
  • Salted caramel (for drizzling, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Beat the eggs in another bowl, then stir in the milk and melted butter.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour enough batter into the waffle iron to cover the surface and close the lid. Cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  6. Carefully remove the waffles and place them on a plate.
  7. Fill the center of each waffle with caramel cream or drizzle caramel sauce on top.
  8. Serve warm, optionally topped with whipped cream and salted caramel.

Notes

For best results, use fresh ingredients and allow the batter to rest for about 5 minutes before cooking.
