Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Mix together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Combine the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk in another bowl and whisk until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fill each muffin cup halfway with the batter, then add about a tablespoon of caramel sauce in the center.
  6. Top with the remaining batter, covering the caramel entirely.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool before serving and enjoy!
