Indulge in these rich Caramel Brownies, featuring a chewy base drizzled with silky caramel for a nostalgic treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan to ensure your brownies lift out easily once they are baked.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined.
  3. Combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually incorporate this dry mix into the butter mixture until just combined.
  4. Spread half of the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the top, then add the remaining brownie batter. Finish with a drizzle of the remaining caramel sauce.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the brownies before baking if desired!
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes. Cut into squares and serve.
