A delightful fusion of creamy cheesecake atop a fudgy brownie base, finished with a luscious caramel drizzle.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of brownie mix (plus ingredients required on the box)
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9-inch springform pan and set it aside.
  2. Prepare the brownie batter according to the package instructions and pour it into the prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes until just set.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then mix in the sour cream and heavy cream until combined.
  5. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the baked brownie layer and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake in the oven for another 45-50 minutes until the cheesecake is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  7. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.
  8. Remove from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Before serving, drizzle caramel sauce on top, and add chocolate shavings as a garnish.

Notes

For a smoother texture, consider using a water bath while baking. This helps prevent cracks in the cheesecake.
