Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • Generous pinch of sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine the sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and sea salt in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Place over medium heat.
  2. Stir frequently with a wooden spoon or silicone spatula as the butter melts and the mixture comes together.
  3. Let the mixture come to a gentle bubble, stirring constantly, and cook for 8–10 minutes until thickened and smooth.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  5. Let the dip cool for about 5 minutes before serving. It will continue to thicken as it cools.
  6. Store any leftovers in a heatproof container, and reheat gently before serving.

Notes

For best dippable experience, serve with a variety of apples and consider pairing with pretzels or fruits. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to one week.
