  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
  3. Arrange the bacon strips in a single layer on the rack, ensuring they don’t overlap.
  4. Mix together brown sugar, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a bowl.
  5. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the bacon strips.
  6. Drizzle with maple syrup.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until crispy and caramelized.
  8. Cool on the rack before serving.
